Baked Apple Roses Recipe | Celebrate Fall

I couldn't wait to try this recipe for Baked Apple Roses and for Fall to get here.  Fall is my favorite season of the year. And now it's finally here! Stay tuned and follow my blog to celebrate fall with me.  More fall recipes, DIY projects, halloween treat and costumes, events to come.  

Ingredients:
Large red apples cut into thin slices
water + 2tsp lemon juice
apricot preserve + 2 tbsp water (alternative option caramel sauce )
frozen pastry sheet
cinnamon 
powdered sugar
melted butter

Directions:
Cut apples into thin slices and place in water and lemon juice mixture 
Microwave apples in lemon juice mixture for 3 minutes
Lay pastry sheet flat and roll out.
Cut pastry sheet into length wise pieces
For each strip, layer apricot preserve, lay apple slices overlaying each other in a straight line, layer some melted butter on the open end of the pastry sheet, fold over the pastry sheet, and roll into a rose shape.  
Place in cupcake or muffin pan with pastry sheet side down.
spoon a little melted butter over each rose in the cupcake pan. 
Bake at 375 degrees for 35-45 min
When cool, cover rose with powered sugar.
