Some are: Oak Point Nature Preserve and Addison Circle Trail. Most of these are in North, North Dallas
Lone Star Ranch Trail- Frisco (0.5mi) This is a short trail but still located within a subdivision where you can extend your run. Beautiful creeks, with a little waterfall and a little paved area where trees create a tunnel as you run through.
Lago de Claire Promenade - Las Colinas (1.5mi) This is my #1 Top Fav trail to run in North Dallas. This trail runs around La Villita Lake which is within a residential subdivision. The trail itself is about 1.5 mi around the lake, but connects to the Campion Trails which is much much longer. I enjoy this trail so much because of the beautiful scenery that includes Spanish style homes and apartments, the lake and the greenery. And you always have the option to extend your run since Campion Trail is easily accessible. The whole trail is lit up at night and part of the trail has a canal that has turtles and various types of birds/ducks. Arbor Hills Nature Preserve - Plano (1.5mi) I love this trail mainly because it's really close to my job and I can go run right after work. But it is also beautiful with creeks and winding trails through the greenery. It's a bit hilly at certain places but it makes the work out that much better. Shoreline Trail - The Colony (3.25mi) The trail runs along the shore line of Lewisville Lake in the The Colony. You can watch people water ski and boat while you run and see the lakehouses that back up to the lake. White Rock Lake - Dallas (9.5mi) This trail is Gi-normous, a little over 9 miles for biking/running with huge trees and greenery.
